Brain Hemispheric Balance is an essential component of Untapping your Child's Potential.

When your child's brain is balanced - MAGIC happens!

This hemispheric questionnaire is a comprehensive check-list containing all of the left & right brain characteristics according to the specific areas of growth (academic, emotional, behavioral, motor, sensory, autonomic etc.)

It is a tool that you can use to help identify whether or not your child has a balanced brain & how significant any imbalance may be.

You will EASILY be able to determine if your child has:
~ A right hemispheric weakness
~ A left hemispheric weakness
~ A global delay or
~ A balanced brain!

If the questionnaire reveals that both sides of the brain are not balanced, it mean's that they are not maturing at the same rate, or at the speed that corresponds to your child's age.

Simply put, the brain & it's neural networks are not getting (or did not get) proper or enough stimulation (sensory or motor) at the correct time for the brain to grow in a balanced way.

If your child's brain is 'out of balance' some skills for your child's age will be extraordinary, while other skills may be deficient for their age.

If you suspect a 'glitch' in your child's development but are unsure of where to start, then I recommend STARTING HERE as this questionnaire will provide you with an excellent insight into your child's current brain function & will highlight where potential areas of delay have formed.

In infancy, the brain hemispheres grow at different rates.  In the first 2-3 years of life, it is mostly the right brain hemisphere building connections.

Then, between 2-3 years the left hemisphere becomes more active.  This is around about the time when language becomes apparent & as parents, we get bombarded with all of the ‘why?’ questions.

Finally, between the ages of 3-10 years the development through the left & right brain hemispheres chop & change while a child continues to grow.

There are millions of neural connections happening at any given time during infancy & childhood.  If a child isn’t exposed to the proper stimulation at the right time, or if a sensory pathway is too weak, the nerves that are meant to wire a pathway miss their connection.  When this happens during a critical part of brain development, the brains growth pattern gets out of balance.  One hemisphere continues to get stronger, while the other gets left behind & becomes ‘weaker’, creating a brain imbalance.

There are characteristics that can give us a clue as to where in the brain a delay has occurred - in the RIGHT or LEFT-brain hemisphere?

The goal of this questionnaire is to help you understand that if there is a weakness or delay in one hemisphere, the symptoms or characteristics you will see in your child will be associated with underactivity or under regulation of that side.

This checklist will also help you to understand the functions of each brain hemisphere.

Please note: This checklist was created for school-aged children and upwards. If you have a younger child, the answers may not be entirely accurate however it will still provide guidance as to how to identify an imbalance.

Once you have your results, if there is a difference between right & left-brain traits, you might like to consider the Untapped Brains - Brain Reconnections Program which has been created to strengthen the WEAKER brain hemisphere & restore balance to the brain.

The Untapped Brains - Brain Reconnections Program has been created from research around brain balancing & includes primitive reflex integration, cerebellum exercises, sensory enrichment targeted to the weaker hemisphere & corpus callosum strengthening.

When the brain remains unbalanced, we continue to see challenges in behavior, learning & sensory processing.

Recent research performed at Harvard revealed actual physical changes from brain imaging (i.e. more neural connections were identified in the weaker hemisphere) following a brain balance protocol of primitive reflex integration and sensory enrichment, similar to what the Brain Reconnections program offers.

Ready to find out if your Child's Brain is Balanced?

The two brain hemispheres have completely different jobs, but both need to work in balance with each other to create the optimal environment for academic achievement, behavioral control, sensory processing & overall function.

Take the questionnaire to see if your child is tapping into their potential today!
